Eat To The Beat at G20 Summit
Susanne Howell, Eat To The Beat Project Manager worked closely with event producers WRG, taking responsibility from the onset from the planning stage through to the delivery and demonstrated logistical expertise co-ordinating 40 catering staff. The teams provided a 24 hour service across seven days ensuring that hot food was available throughout.
High levels of security presented a logistical challenge for the teams, who had to be government accredited before they were allowed to enter the building. All vehicles bringing supplies of fresh food had to go via a remote search facility where they were stringently searched before being escorted onto site. This extra time needed to be accounted for in the preparation and serving of meals.
Susanne Howell commented: "On the final serving the Eat To The Beat team were surprised and extremely grateful to receive an unprompted standing ovation and applause from the crew members, thanking them for their outstanding service and dedication during the week.
