Global Infusion Group opens in China
In April 2010, Global Infusion Group (GIG) were delighted to announce that they are now fully Licensed and operational In Shanghai, China. Following 5 years of research, which included 2 years of negotiations and 6 months of design and build, their fabulous new catering kitchen and restaurant was approved by the Chinese authorities last week and opened for business.
The GC Brasserie, (taking its name from the initials of the German Centre where it is based in the Pudong region of Shanghai), is a beautifully designed modern interpretation of a traditional French Brasserie. In no small part influenced by General Manager, Monsieur Felix Zafra the Brasserie has delighted the residents of the building and the local community with its offering of international dishes for all tastes. From the 'must have' French Onion Soup to the fully Asian Nasi Goreng, The whole menu delights with its flavours and presentation style. Brasserie Manager Mario Zhang said;
"This is a very special place. A truly international melting pot of cultures and nationalities. We have created a relaxed environment unlike anything else I have seen in China. The brasserie looks beautiful, the staff are wonderful and most importantly the food tastes great."
Whilst the 100 cover restaurant with its adjoining Bar-B-Q and Beer Garden is serviced by its own dedicated kitchen, the impressive facilities extend a further 400m2, built to the latest catering requirement under Chinese law. Already these facilities have been put to work with clients queuing up for the outside catering services offered by GIG ASIA. Already the team have catered at a high end fashion boutique opening party, a 'Dance in May' banquet for 300 guests in their 1,500 capacity in-house ballroom, provided canapes at 'pop up' wine tasting events in downtown Shanghai and are preparing to 'go on the road' with three major automotive brands later this summer.
