Double celebration for the Global Infusion Group

The Global Infusion Group (GIG) has two reasons to celebrate this June. Firstly being selected as finalists in the Enterprising Business category of the Federation of Small Businesses Hertfordshire, Small Business Awards 2009 and secondly subsidiary company Eat To The Beat (ETTB) is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

ETTB is a specialist tour and location caterer for crew, production teams and artists within the music, television and broadcast sectors. ETTB has catered at some of the world's most prestigious events including the demolition of the Berlin wall in 1990, the recording of the Band Aid 20 single in 2004, Live 8 in 2005 and most recently the G20 summit.

Managing Director Tony Laurenson, a chef with experience and passion for the music and catering business, started the company and remains the driving force behind its phenomenal success.

Tony Laurenson said: "We are delighted to have made the final of this award which is a true testament to the hard work, dedication and passion of the whole team. It is an honour that 25 years down the line we are still recognised as a vibrant and enterprising company and endeavour to continue this for the next 25!"

The finalists will join the judges and sponsors of the Awards for a glittering award ceremony at Tewin Bury Farm on June 18th. Every entry has been assessed by at least 5 judges from the panel of 14 sponsor organisations, including the FSB, Trend Micro, and Business Link East.

The award winners will make history as this is the first year of these new awards dedicated entirely to small businesses - who make up 99% of all UK enterprises.

The overall winners will take away £1,000 as well as their permanent award.
